Was it Happenstance That I Saw This YouTube Video? (I Think Not!)

Billy Graham has been gone for a long time, but this message is timeless.

My cousin has been in a brutal battle with cancer. He’s endured multiple surgeries that offered hope. Last week, his doctor told him his cancer had returned and gave him a couple of weeks or months to live.

Our praying family went to work even harder. We added him to multiple prayer groups from California to Florida and many in between. Robert is a pastor, and as I told my husband, the only one in our group of cousins who never went off the rails and deserted our relationship with Jesus for a time. We’ve all returned to a life led by Christ, but the roads we traveled were not ones you would brag about to your church.

I have to confess to asking God how He could let this horrible thing happen to Robert, of all people. I’ve prayed deeply and asked God to forgive my wavering faith. 

When my cat gets me up at 4:30 am, I go to my recliner and listen to my favorite pastors, sometimes returning to sleep. This morning, I dozed off and woke up to a message from Billy Graham. This was no accident. I knew this message was meant for me to share with my cousin.

I then realized it could benefit more than just my cousin. Plenty of people out there are going through rough situations. If you aren’t one of them, share it with someone who needs it. Maybe, like me, you must embrace it for a loved one.
