It’s Week 4 of Sharing My Substack Goals (Let’s Hear it for Inspiration)
Finding this beautiful community that shares my passion is fantastic!
There is no doubt that Substack is where I belong. I’m so grateful to Kristina God. Her Medium Bootcamp helped me grow on that platform exponentially. I wanted to gain 100 subscribers, and with her advice and easy-to-follow instructions, I surpassed that goal in no time.
It was a no-brainer when she suggested her subscribers go on the Substack journey with her.
What’s so great about Kristina is that she takes you along as she learns things, and you succeed when you put them into practice. I’m not near the influencer that she is, but as with her Medium teachings, her Substack advice has enriched and expanded my realm of influence. I’m a paid subscriber but Kristina’s Online Writing Club offers a ton of value, to her free subscribers, too.
This brings me to my fourth goal for my Substack newsletter.
Inspire believers to use their realm of influence to make a difference in the world.
My newsletter title makes it clear where my loyalties and priorities lie. RV Living with Jesus at the Wheel started as a place to share my stories about our travels and involvement in the Campers for Christ rallies and Roving Volunteers in Christ’s Service projects. I pictured RVers and believers in the US reading my stories.
Imagine my shock at realizing that people from 20 countries are reading my posts. Twenty countries!! Where else can you have that kind of reach? Way to go, Substack!
I could never have held that big of a space in the world to share my faith with my website, Medium, Facebook, and all other social platforms combined. I have yet to implement all the excellent advice from influencers on Substack, but the sky is the limit!
One of the most incredible things about the platform is how many people I’m meeting who share my passion for sharing the love of Christ and telling people how much better their lives will be with Jesus at the wheel. Judging by the posts, comments, and likes on other social platforms, you’d think very few of us exist. WRONG!
A couple of weeks ago, I wrote a post titled When Your Life is Radically Changed, Can You Keep it to Yourself? (No!) When God transforms your life, you should want to share your story to bring others into the kingdom. If you aren’t inspired to, you should ask yourself why. How can you believe that people who don’t know Christ are going to hell when they die and not tell them about it? It’s what the Bible says, folks.
Mark 16:15-16 - New Living Translation - And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned.

As the scriptures shared above tell us, it’s our job to spread the Good News. If I don’t care enough about you to not want you to spend eternity in a fiery pit, I am not loving you like Jesus. No matter where your sphere of influence is, as a believer, you must share Christ with those who don’t know Him and encourage those who do to go deeper in their relationship with Him.
Maybe you’re the only believer in your workplace. You’ve cried out to God to move you to a job with more Christians, and nothing has happened. He needs you there!
Romans 10:14-15 says: But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of the messengers who bring the good news.
Think about it. In a world where Christianity is being diminished, and the voices of God’s people are being censored and removed, you may be the only one who has an opportunity to tell your coworkers about Christ. You may be the only glimpse of Jesus they will ever see. They are likely lovely, lost people searching for hope for a better life. If you don’t offer them the gospel, a New Age Spirituality Cult coworker will take them places they should never go.
According to the National Institute of Health, in 2024, the percentage of Americans suffering from depression was a staggering 15.4% (approximately 40 million Americans). The worldwide statistics are 280 million people. In America, we are bombarded by ads from pharmaceutical companies telling us to ask our doctors for the fix-all pill. There is a small percentage of people with a chemical imbalance that require medication.
The majority of the depressed need Jesus, not a drug.
I didn’t intend for this post to go in this direction, but I pray over each one I write, so this must be what people out there need to hear. The lost and hurting need God’s people to speak up and offer a hand up, not a handout. They need us to pray for them and not judge them. There’s an old saying: don’t judge someone until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes. But the Bible says, judge not least, you will be judged. I love the Living Bible translation of Matthew 7:1-3
Don’t criticize, and then you won’t be criticized. For others will treat you as you treat them. And why worry about a speck in the eye of a brother when you have a board in your own?
I don’t know about you, but I’ve done plenty in my past that I’m not proud of. I’m glad that much of it is between me and God, and He has forgiven me. I’m not sure who coined the phrase, hurting people hurt people, but I know it to be true. It’s easy to make assumptions about people when you don’t have a clue what they lived through to make them that way.
God offers us so much grace and expects us to provide the same grace to others. Colossians 3:13
New Living Translation - Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.
Acting Christ-like is not easy, but it’s what we’re called to do. God never tells us to do something He doesn’t equip us for. But you need to ask for His help. After making more mistakes than I can count, by forging ahead without talking to God first, I’m not doing anything without praying about it. I believe it’s why we’re told in 1 Thessalonians 5:13 to pray without ceasing.
My newsletter is meant to inspire believers to step up and share their faith in their current station in life. The world needs to hear the good news. Ask God to give you the opportunities and the gumption to share a word in due season. Inspire those around you to love and encourage as many people as possible.
It doesn’t matter if you are the CEO of a huge company or work in a fast-food restaurant; God will use you to make a difference in this crazy world. If you have thousands of Substack subscribers or five, the Lord will use you to effect positive change in someone’s life. Share God’s heart through your words, and watch and see what He’ll do. We are in this together, and I can’t imagine a more exciting time to be alive as a Christian. I hope you feel the same way.
Thank you for joining me on this incredible journey with Jesus at the wheel.
Share and witness wherever we are planted 😇
