How I'm Praying on National Prayer Day

God bless all of you Substack subscribers who are patient with me while I figure out how to structure my newsletter. My goal is to encourage my readers in every way that I can. 

My faith is more important to me than anything. On this National Day of Prayer, I'm asking God to continue to open eyes and hearts to see that He is doing more for our country and the world than many know. The shaking that has been taking place in the United States is mind-boggling but necessary. 

I never thought I'd witness so much evil and depravity in my lifetime. It's happening worldwide, but a lot of good will come out of the bad. As a Christ follower, I think the appeasing and apathetic Church carries much of the blame.

The godless, money-hungry politicians who are ruining our nation wouldn't be there if we had done our part by voting for people of principle and standing up against the craziness that has been allowed to occur.

The good news is that people are waking up, and lawlessness and tyranny are being exposed. A light is shining on the darkness, and revival is taking place. America is experiencing the greatest awakening since its inception in 1776. 

One of my favorite preachers, Mario Murillo, who was around for the Jesus Revolution, says that his tent crusades rival those of the 1970s. The Jesus movement that began in Southern California was the most significant spiritual awakening the country had ever seen.

Mario's crusades today require as many volunteers as there were attendees in the 70's tent meetings. It's not unusual to have alter calls with 500 people giving their lives to Christ. 

I don't know about you, but I think it's an exciting time to be a Christ follower. When I become fearful and bogged down by the bad news, I remind myself what Romans 12:21 in the Amplified Bible tells us. Do not be overcome and conquered with evil, but overcome evil with good.

This quote from Charles Dickens sums up our situation eloquently. 

It was time for a wake-up call in America. We were the most God-honoring nation, and that is why we have been the most blessed. God blessed America, and if we return to our Judeo-Christian values and our constitution as written, we will be that way again.

No country has done as much to help other countries in need as America. It's time for Americans to take a stand for our nation. She is wounded and bleeding, and Band-Aids will not do the trick.

I implore all God-fearing patriots to pray, take and stand, and believe for the revival, renewal, and refreshing that will save America. It's happening! It's here.

Don't let the mainstream media bring you down with their lies, gloom, and doom. They are not sharing the good news. Plenty of it exists, but you must look for it. When we find it, we need to share it to give hope to the weary.
