How I’m Keeping the Faith in This Crazy & Scary World
My prayer is to inspire you with this post.
Are you feeling overwhelmed by all the frightening things happening worldwide right now?
I refuse to watch the mainstream media; they only add to the angst, and it's their goal. I want to be informed, so I choose media outlets I trust, like Newsmax and the Victory channel.
Sadly, being informed right now requires us to acknowledge a lot of terrible things going on, from the crisis at the border to the wars in Israel and Ukraine. One trip to the gas station or the grocery store can ignite a panic attack when you see no end to our economic crisis.
It's a challenge not to be engulfed in negativity. The only reason I'm sane is because I know the One in control. It amazes me how many people who say they don't believe in God still want to blame Him for all the misery. God gave man free will, and that's the reason we are in such a mess.
The good news is that He sent His son, Jesus, to die on the cross for us and release us from sin's stranglehold on humanity. He gives believers His peace that surpasses understanding.
I can't imagine anyone without faith in Christ experiencing peace right now. If you don't have a relationship with Him or haven't tapped into the power of the Holy Spirit to release you from fear, please reach out. I will gladly pray with you. As a believer, you are not supposed to live in fear.
Did you know that the Bible tells us not to fear 365 times? That's one for every day, and it's not a coincidence.
When I feel bogged down by negative things, I ask the Holy Spirit to help me. I ask for Christ's peace to remove all fear and doubt. It's so easy to pray for help. You don't have to use eloquent or super-spiritual religious language. You can talk to God anytime, from anywhere. When you don't know how or what to pray, you can yell, "Help me, Jesus!"
God wants His kids to lean on Him. He's a good Father with a wonderful plan for your life. He's the only father I've ever known. If you were blessed with a good dad, I hope you tell him often how much you appreciate him. Sadly, there are more people today who don't have one than at any time in history.
According to statistics, 80% of single-parent homes are run by mothers. It's reported that 25% of today's youth are growing up without a father. The statistics reported on fathers.com will blow your mind. Here are just a few: 57.6% of black children, 31.2% of Hispanic children, and 20.7% of white children are living absent their biological fathers. If you have a dad, you are blessed.
Now more than ever, we need to pray for the restoration of the family unit. It has been under attack for decades, and we can't fix it without God's help. I hope to inspire you to join me in praying for our families. If those without a father, like me, look to our heavenly Father for help, we will see restoration. America and the world need it desperately.
I renewed my relationship with Christ over 22 years ago. I can't imagine what a mess my life would be otherwise. Do I have any brothers and sisters out there?
Believing in God and knowing Him is quite different. When you know Him, you trust Him with your life. You can talk to Him like a friend. You know you are under His protection, so you have peace.
Stuffy, self-righteous religion has sent so many people running away from God. I pray you aren't one of those, but if you are, I invite you to ditch the religion and embrace a relationship. I know our lives will improve exponentially if the Church, God's people unite. We can expel the evil that is destroying America and the world.
Embracing a relationship with Christ, praying, and reading your Bible will help keep your faith strong and dispel fear in these crazy times. Here are some scriptures to help you along your way.
I hope my newsletter blesses you, as it blessed me to write it. It is worth the effort if only one person is helped by it. I'm praying that everyone who reads this will be blessed and void of fear and anxiety. With gratitude, Cat
Thank you for the encouragement! God sustains those who put their trust in Him.
