Does a Statement This Asinine Deserve a Response? (No, But I Can't Help It)
How do you respond when a cohort tells you that you are everything that is wrong with the world?
I didn't read the post, but it wasn't a smart move if it was clickbait rather than how he truly feels.
You never know who your friends are on the internet. Last week, I joined a Zoom with a fellow writer on the Substack and Medium platforms. A very evil person hacked into the meeting, and I'm still trying to get the horrific pornographic pictures out of my head. I felt so terrible for the facilitator that I immediately wrote a post telling him and my readers that I felt horrible for him. I supported and prayed for him.
Later that evening, I saw some comments on a post he wrote, stating how shaken he was by the racist and pornographic attack. I chimed in and said that I didn't see anything racist about it, despite all of the people in the videos being black, but that it was horrific. Apparently, at the beginning of the mayhem, there was a KKK reference using the N-word. I never saw or heard it, so I didn't know the attack was racist.
When I read the writer's statement about the event on his Substack, and he mentioned the KKK material, I wrote an apology, stating that I hadn't seen it and adding words of support. When I hit the post button, the words "you are blocked from commenting on this post" appeared. I was astounded by that and went straight to my fabulous online writer's group, developed by Kristina God. It is where I met the writer whose Zoom I was on earlier that day, and Kristina promoted it.
Ever vigilant, she emailed me shortly afterward, letting me know I could add my comment and that there had been a glitch. I posted my apologetic comment and decided to email the writer too. The subject line was I'm so sorry. To keep everything in perspective, here is what I wrote.
I have no idea how I missed the KKK reference in the attack yesterday. It's not a wonder that you thought I was insensitive when I said I didn't see it as a racial assault. It's insane how much evil was perpetrated through the incident. I didn't see the racial slurs, or I never would have made that comment. You didn't know I hadn't seen them, so you blocked me from commenting on your Substack. Since my comment referred to us being able to respect each other despite our political differences, I was insulted by the block, and it felt like a slap in my face after what I just wrote.
I was ready to write another post stating that my assumptions about the community of writers were skewed. I'm so glad I didn't waste my time and energy on it when it came down to you and me having a misunderstanding. We were all upset by what happened yesterday, but the bad guys didn't win. I look forward to hearing what Zoom's response to the incident was. Something like that should never be allowed to happen.
I was so sure everything was good with us that I attached a story for his opinion. I never received a response to my email, but I received his Substack newsletter the next day, as I had become a subscriber. The headline was "How Conservatives, Christians, and Republicans are Responsible for Every Problem in the World."
As a Christian, conservative, and Republican, I wasn't just offended; I was shocked! As I said in my title, this is the most asinine statement I've ever read. I can assure you the vile videos placed on his Zoom meeting did not come from a Christian, conservative, or Republican. The evil perpetrated on him came from a sick individual who has no regard for God or our country. His title blames all evil in the world on the people trying to rid us and our country of it.
Don't get me wrong; I know there are some Republicans who are just as reprehensible as Democrats. There are likely some Democrats who aren't too happy with the turn their party has taken. Trump's appointees, Tulsi Gabbard and RFK Jr., are former Democrats. I can't stand Rino's like Mitch McConnel and Lindsey Graham, and I will be thrilled when they are gone.
Would I ever make the statement that Liberals, Atheists, and Democrats are responsible for every problem in the world? Not on your life! Satan and his minions are behind every problem in the world. Evil is the reason for every problem that exists.
Evil is behind the Democrats' platform of killing babies, even after they are born, the relentless push for the transgender agenda, which is destroying young lives by the tens of thousands, bringing in illegals by the millions without any vetting, which has caused deaths from fentanyl, human trafficking, and lawlessness to escalate to levels unheard of before, and destroying the family unit by pushing the gay agenda.
The party I choose is pro-God, pro-life, and pro-family. They are for less government. They are pro-military and want a strong national defense. They oppose illegal immigration and drug legalization. They are taking a stand against DEI and CRT and believe that people should be put in positions because of their merits, not the color of their skin or their sexual preferences. They know there are only two sexes and that biological men shouldn't be allowed in ladies' restrooms or compete against them in sports.
Most of the division in this country was caused by the party that wants to make everything about racism. The Democrats don't give a rip about "we the people." They care about filling their bank accounts with our tax dollars and using them to promote their insane agendas. The more power they gain, the worse off our country is. The majority spoke at the ballot box in November. It's time that the people with Trump, Elon, and DOGE Derangement Syndrome woke up.
It is the Church that will save our country by ridding it of evil and Satan's agenda, not a governmental party. Christians made a difference in the 2024 elections by getting their butts out of the pews and making their voices heard to bring back the Judeo-Christian values this country was founded on.
We need to keep our foot on the gas. The Church needs to make a stand against the evil that took over our country while their pastors either told them to be tolerant or gave them no advice at all. The separation of Church and state was meant to keep the government out of the Church, not the Church out of the government.
I'm thrilled to witness President Trump's uncovered waste and corruption. I'm delighted that he is keeping ALL of the promises he made to earn our vote and support. If you agree with the crazy statement, “Conservatives, Christians, and Republicans are Responsible for Every Problem in the World,” you are part of the problem.
I didn't mean to stand on my soapbox for so long, but I was outraged. I put my opinion out there for the world, subscribers, and followers. If this post upsets you, you are free to unfollow and unsubscribe. It had to be said.
Romans 2:12 - Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
A lot of prayers went into writing this article.
